High Pressure Tube Furnace with 20mm ID. Super-alloy Tube up to 1100C @ 700PSI- OTF1200X-HP-55

OTF-1200X-HP-55 is a CE certified split tube furnace with Ni based super-alloy tube (55mm O.D x 20 mm I.D x 600 mm L) and flanges/valves. It is designed for using at high pressure (7 MPa) up to 1100°C under oxidizing and inert gas atmosphere to process special compound. It is a ideal furnace to use for preparing new materials under high pressure, and also can be use as mini HIP to treat metallic sample.

Material and Size of Pressure Vessel
  • Special Ni based Super-alloy: ( Waspaloy or equivalent  )
  • 55 mm O.D x  20 mm  I.D. x 550 mm Length  ( 172 mL conpacity )
  • 1/4NPS fitting is installed in end of flange, and 1/4" high pressure stainless steel pipe shall be connected to the fitting.

Compatible Gas and crucible

  • For best result, you may use gold or nickel foil wrapping sample and put in the crucible boat to avoid contamination

Temperature controller
  • MET certified 30 programmable segments for precise control of heating rate, cooling rate and dwell time.
  • Built in PID Auto-Tune function with overheating & broken thermocouple broken protection.
  • Over temperature protection and alarm allows for operation without attendant(s).
  • +/- 1 ºC temperature accuracy.
PC Control

  • MTS-02 control module is included for PC control on this furnace.
  • Optional:   Touch creen PLC control is available upon request at extra cost

Pressure Sensor and Display
  • Pressure measurement range: 0~25Mpa
  • The pressure sensor is installed in the flange. The pressure will be displayed in the pressure controller in the front panel of furnace.
  • The alarm system is built in the pressure controller which allow user to set up the high and low limit point of pressure. When the measuring pressure exceed limit point, the alarm strobe and whistle will be activated for warning.

Pressure Fitting
    • One Super-alloy flanges is included.
    • One Aluminum heat radiators are installed in front of flange to keep flange below 100oC
    • One high pressure valves are installed with flanges
    • One Pressure meter installed to one of valve
    • Note & warning:
      Optional: You may order four Pt wire ( 0.35 mm dia ) feedthrough to install with the furnace for measure material electric conductivity under high pressure upto 1100oC at extra cost  ($5000 )

    Safety Notes
    • Ni based Super-alloy ( Waspaloy or equivalent) is a reliable processing tube which can be used under high temperature and high pressure. It has excellent ductility and tensile property so only creep deformation happens under overpressure destruction test and following by a crack formed (usually at the hot zone at the center of tube) to release the pressure. Brittle fracture won’t happen in the overpressure destruction test which means no tube explosion will happen under overpressure of inert gas or safe gas or under other accidents causing overpressure of inert gas or safe gas.

    • Please never use ordinary SS tube to connect to gas-inlet for using > 5Mp pressure, whcih may cause tube exploded.
    • Attention:for the use with flammable, toxic or corrosive gases, you must contact MTI engineering group for the consultation to know all the prerequisites and precautionary measures.
    • Attention: Due to the high pressure gas output from the gas cylinder, it is necessary to install the gas pressure regulator with it to reduce the output pressure, avoid overpressurizing the furance chamber and ensure a safe operation. Click here to learn the installation of a gas regulator.
