MSK-MS-02 is a Lab scale melt spinning machine for preparing various polymer based compsite fiber at micron or nano meter diameter, such as carbon composite, PTFE  and PEEK .to explore new generation composite materials.

Met Extrusion

Spinning 
  • Spinng head:    single  hole with diameter 0.1 mm - 3.0 mm selectable
  • Optional: multi-hole is available upto 32 holes upon request at extra cost
  • Note:  0.1 mm hole can produce 5 - 10-micron diameter fiber depended winding wheel speed, which will provide a certain tensile force to make fiber diameter smaller
Winding Wheel

  • Winding wheel made of hard rubber materials
  • Speed is adjustable  0 - 2800 RPM  ( or  Max. 1000 meter/ minute )
  • The wheel is swing length is adjustable 
  • The wheel is easy to installing and replacing
Fume Hood

  • Stand-alone unit with built-in power supply and features like heater, lighting and exhaust fan
  • Transparent glass windows on front and both sides for easy monitoring of the electrospinning process
  • Front door interlock for turning off high voltage output when the door is accidentally opened during the electrospinning process. Hazard lamp is installed on top of the fume hood to indicate that high voltage output is on. 
  • Exhaust fan with 3.8'' Dia. venting port is installed on the top of the hood which can be connected to an exhaust outlet at the customer's facility

Optional 
  • For making nanoscale fiber,  30KVDC  high voltage electrostatic field may be added at extra cost 
    • 0 - 30 kV single output, 0.5 mA max current
    • Digital voltmeter and current meter
    • Constant current / constant voltage modes available
    • Built-in arc protection circuit. Normally for the electrospinning process, current < 5 μA. Please limit current < 20 μA to avoid high voltage arcing damage
  • Tensile strength tester for fiber material is available upon request
