 OTF-1250X-R8-III  is an 8" rotating tube furnace with three heating zones. It is designed for syntheses of the inorganic compound with better uniformity at the ultra-high temperature up to 1250ºC with optional processing tube. It can be used to produce battery cathode or Anode power by CVD coating in larger scale production.  

Furnace Construction

  • Splittable Tube furnace with SiC heating element for easy repair and replacing processing
  • Three heating Zone with total 46" heating zone length
  • High purity alumina fibrous insulation structure for max energy saving
  • Tube is rotatably driven by DC motor 
Heating Zone length &
Constant temperature Zone

  • Three heating zones, each zone 380mm ( 15.3" ) long
  • Total heating zone length: 1170mm (46'')
  • constant temperature zone: 800mm at the center (with +/-5°C) ( if setting all three zones the same heating temperature )
  • Two foam ceramic blocks with alumina coating are included which are connected to flanges and rotate together with the tube.
Processing Tube (optional) &
Max. Working Temperature
There are two kinds of processing tubes available which are sold separately.
  • Quartz Tube with Max.working temperature 1200ºC
    • Tube Size:  8.5" OD x 8." +/-0.2"ID  x 63" L
    • Three stirring blades are included
  • 310S stainless Steel tube with Max. Working Temperature1100ºC
    • Tube Size: 8“5 )D x 8“ +/-0.2"  ID  x  63“ L
Sealing Flanges (optional) The sealing flanges  are provided with the processing tube (optional). The standard configuration is:
  • Both flanges are the hinged type (easy open design). 
  • One mechanical pressure gauge (range: -0.1Mpa - 0 Std atm - 0.15Mpa)
  • Stainless steel needle valves & 1/4" hose fittings, KF25 vacuum port and 1/4'' feedthrough.
  • Inlet and out rotatable Fitting:  Push-in connector for 6mm O.D tube;   Both tube fittings are rotatable
  • Vacuum pressure limit:10-2 torr by mechanical pump

Note: Because that the quartz tube and the alloy tube have different outside diameter so the flanges of both tubes can't be used interchangeably
Temperature Controller
  • Three 30 segments programmable PID digital temperature controller (click the left pic to see detail specs )
  • Note: To achieve fully temperature computerization please order a set of MTS-02 control module. If you order the control module with the furnace we will install and test it before we ship out the product. We recommend you order the computer (laptop) from us. More information please click here

Working Temperature
  • Continuous Working Temperature:
    • 400 -1100°C for quartz tube 
    • 400 - 1250 °C for NiCrAl alloy tube
  • Max. Heating/Cooling rate: 10°C/min 
  • Temperature accuracy:  +/- 1°C in heating Zone

  • 0 - 10 RPM variable

  • 0 - 15 o adjustable

  • The tube furnaces with quratz tube are designed for using under vacuum and low pressure < 0.02 MPa / 0.2 Bar/ 3 PSI 
  • Attention: A two stage pressure regulator must be installed on gas cylinder to limit the pressure to below 3 PSI for safe operation. Click here to learn the installation of a gas regulator.
  • Never heat the furnace while the gas release valve is closed and a positive pressure condition exists within the furnace chamber. The pressure gauge must be used to closely monitor the chamber condition at all times during the heating process; please open the gas release valve immediately once the chamber pressure has reached over 3 PSI to prevent unforeseeable damages.
  • The flow rate for gases should be limited to < 200 SCCM (or 200ml/min)

  • The concept of continuous power feeding and processing can be realized by the use of Magnetic Fluid Sealed Swivel Coupling in line with Volumetric Feeder and Rotary Furnace. Please view the video in below.
