Practical Applications

Pre-metered Horizontal-Dipping Process

Such syringe pump can precisely control the volume of the solution per unit coating area been fed into
the gap between the cylindrical barrier and the glass substrate.

Doctor-Blade (or Wire-Bar) Coating
Such Syring Pump can be used for adding a solvent at various concentrations. By using multiple syring pumps, you can add ingredient in a certain weight ratio to a mixed solution. Similar to the Horizontal-dipping Process, the blended organic solution is introduced into the space between the barrier and the substrate by such pumps' capillary action. The Doctor-Blade is transport horizontally at a given constant velocity, a thin solution layer is then spread and formed evenly on the substrate.

Dip Coating
Wet solution coating such as dip coating has been the most popular method for solution-processed devices.
