C type thermocouple can be applied for high temperature up to 2300 °C and it must be used under high vacuum environment.

Simplex Thermocouple Assembly
  • Assembly is epoxy sealed for vacuum service
  • Molybdenum sheath
  • Ungrounded hot junction
  • 10" alumina insulation towards termination
  • Termination is a standard temperature and standard size male plug (round pins)

Sheath Material
  • Molybdenum  (must be used under high vacuum) 
  • 1/2" of Hafnia insulation at the hot end
Positive Material Tungsten-5% Rhenium
Negative Material Tungsten-26% Rhenium
Lowest Working Temperature 1000 °C (under vacuum)
Highest Working Temperature 2300 °C (under vacuum)
Minimum Std. Error +/-  FS 2%

Application Notes
  • C type thermal couple must be used under high vacuum
  • Thermocouple is not bendable
