INTRODUCTION
MTI-1000-CAO 1.0 micron colloidal alumina (Al2O3) slurry in pH range of 3.5 to 4.0 is for polishing a wide variety of materials, such as II-VI materials(NiFe, GaAs, GaN, and InP), ferrites, carbides, and almost all oxide crystals. Also the resulting low scatter finishes have been obtained on pure metals, epoxy resins and plastics.
MTI-1000-CAO is an acidic colloidal alumina (Al2O3) dispersion, with advanced chemical-mechanical action, that provides superior surface finishes. The unique, proprietary alumina particles provide aggressive removal rates while maintaining superior surface finishes. The information above should be used as a starting point for the customer's application
|
HOW TO USE
It is recommended that MTI-1000-CAO be used in pure form. However, if desired, it may be diluted up to a 1:1 ratio of using only high-quality de-ionized water (>18 M ohm). Mild agitation is all that is needed to keep the diluted slurry suspended. Storage and re-use of diluted slurry is not recommended. Due to the product unique formulation, it is further recommended that the user should not attempt adjustment of the pH. Maintain storage in a temperature-controlled environment, between 40 and 1000 F.
|
FOR SAFETY
MTI-1000-CAO is a safe, aqueous based slurry. All handlers should avoid skin contact, use personal protective equipment, rubber gloves, protective clothing, and splash goggles or a full face-shield when dispersion to avoid eye injury safety glasses, etc.
