| Caesium Iodide activated by thalium is a scintillation material with high absorption power. It can be used as efficient gamma ray absorber. CsI:Tl is soluble in water, but it is not hygroscopic under laboratory conditions. It is highly resistive to mechanical and thermal shocks. CsI:Tl can be easily fabricated into wide variety of shapes and geometries. It can also be fabricated into detection matrices. |
