Application Notes
Heat treatment

  • The heater will shut down if over output occurs. Pls reduce coil cycle number to keep the heater operating under Max power
  • Melting time and temperature are related to materials, the crucible, refractory insulation, etc. 
  • You may melt metal samples in a vacuum using a 60mm dia half-open quartz tube with a vacuum flange/valve. Please click the picture below for details on how to set up the vacuum tube
  • For induction heating in the air or under the glove box, please contact MTI for the design below.    

  • To prevent internal circuitry damage:
    • Never allow the inductive current to exceed 800 A when the unit is in use.
    • The maximum time duration for running the unit at the 600~800 A working current range should not exceed 60 seconds.
