EQ-HC-12DHT is designed for heating 1/2" I.D. Refactory Alloy Pressing Die with a Band Heater and a Single-setpoint Temperature Controller. Programmable Temperature Controller is standard from 03/09/2021.

  • The standard Heatable Die Set includes:
    • A set of 400°C Max. Refractory Alloy Die, 1/2" I.D. Dry Pellet Pressing Die - EQ-Die-12DHT
      • Pressing die sleeve: 2" (50mm) O.D. × 1/2" (12mm) I.D. × 2 3/8" (60mm) H
      • Upper Pushing Rod: 1/2" (12mm) Dia.
      • Lower Rod: 1/2" (12mm) Dia.
    • Sample Retrieval Rod
    • Sample Retrieval Sleeve
    • Upper and Lower Supporting Plate
    • Heat Insolation Plate
    • Band Heater (rated to 480 ºC) with connecting cable: 50mm I.D. × 50mm H
    • Ceramic Heat Insulation Tape with Steel Clamps
    • Programmable Temperature Controller
    • Type-K thermocouple with connecting wire
  • 110 VAC 50/60Hz
  • 220 VAC 50/60Hz available upon request at the same price

Working Temperature Range
 and Pressure
  • Temperature: RT - 400 ºC       (For applications at higher temperature, please check below for our Hi-temp Dies)
  • Pressure: 400 MPa at 400 ºC   ( 5 metric Ton )
Temperature Control
  • Programmable PID temperature controller with a type-K thermocouple.
  • Temperature Accuracy: +/- 2°C

Application Note

  • Please must always wear protective goggles during the operation !
  • Please clean the mold via ethanol after the completion of each experiment.
  • We strongly recommend using professional laboratory hydraulic pressers that ensure the most even pressing interface and uniform pressure force as below. (pic.1)
  • For higher temperature applications, please order our 550°C Heating Jacket with Si3N4 Die - EQ-HC-SiN (pic.2 &3)
  • For use with our Splittable Graphite Dry Pressing Die of 1/2"(12.7mm) I.D. - EQ-Die-05D-GP-4S, please contact for specifications and pricing details. Graphite Die can only be used with inert gas, such as in a Glovebox. (pic.4 & 5)
