IMCS-1700- is an induction heating system capable of auto-melting / casting various metal alloys up to 1 kg ( iron steel ) at Max. 1700ºC under Ar gases environment.


  • A closed system can clear away the oxygen once the metal is added to the crucible. Inert gas purging keeps the melt away from the air during both melting and pouring processes and thus eliminates the oxidation and defects.
  • Precision digital temperature and time control. Two-stage pressure/vacuum control allows the melt to be pushed into every detail of your pattern during the pour - lettering, prongs, or undercuts.
  • Advanced computer technology produces the most efficient melting-casting cycles for any types of alloys (4 minutes) not included
  • 18-turns induction coil enables the stirring capability and keeps the melt homogeneous
  • Dynamic pressure system automates the casting. When the metal reaches set-point, the machine automatically triggers the pressure and then pour--without operator intervention.

Crucible Chamber

  • Optional graphite crucible can handle max.  1000g Steel alloy or 2000 grams gold. ( 2Kg Fe alloy capacity is available upon request at extra cost )
  • High-quality graphite crucible helps prevent oxide inclusions
  • Induction coil surrounds crucible for fast active heating
  • Superior electric-magnetic stirring
  • High-quality fibrous alumina insulation.

Casting Chamber 

  • Accommodates flasks 5'' diameters x 9" high 
  • Flask is swiveled out from the bottom of the crucible chamber to enable easy insertion and removal of flasks
  • Flask is driven by compressive gas > 150 PSI. The compressive air pump is required, but not included. 
Temperature Control
  • Max.Working temperature 1700ºC
  • B-type thermocouple allows the user to closely  monitor the temperature with the most accurate readings
  • Heating is manually controlled  ( automatical control version is available at extra cost )
  • Bottom-pour design of crucible ensures minimal temperature drop in the metal casting during the crucible to flask transfer
Vacuum and Inert Gas
  • Vacuum requirement: 1bar (-29.9" Hg) at sea level
  • Vacuum gauge and handle provide easy monitoring of vacuum pressure
  • Inert Gas Requirement: 5 liters/ minute @ 0.7 bar (10 psi) hi-purity nitrogen or argon
  • Double stage rotary vane vacuum pump is included with this casting system

Application Notes
  • Please clicks here for the melting temperatures of various metals
  • AttentionA pressure regulator must be installed on your input gas tank ( click the picture below to review ) and have the output gas pressure set below 3 PSI at all times after opening the gas tank with the gas maintained in a continuous flowing condition. Gas build up with pressure levels exceeding over 3 PSI may cause irreversible damage to the furnace chamber.  
  • Never heat the furnace while the gas release valve is closed and a positive pressure condition exists within the furnace chamber. The pressure gauge must be used to closely monitor the chamber condition at all times during the heating process; please open the gas release valve immediately once the chamber pressure has reached over 3 PSI to prevent unforeseeable damages.
