MSK-TE902-UL is a UL standard Gravity Impact (Free Fall) Tester that can simulate an impact to a lithium battery based on UN38.3 standard (38.3.4.6). Battery Free Fall Testing based on IEC-62133-8.3.3 standard is feasible with this tester.Note: MSK-TE902 was updated to MSK-TE902-UL since Jan.12,2017

- Anti-explosion reinforced double-layer steel chamber
- Inside chamber: made of 1 mm thickness cold rolled SS304 with tensile strength > 500 Mpa
- Outside casing: made of 3 mm thickness annealed A3 steel with Tensile strength > 400 Mpa
- Explosion-proof window: L 382mm x W 332mm
- Double layer 5 mm thick anti-explosion glass with sandwiched shattering proof film
- Max. Working Space in the chamber: L300mm*W250mm*H1000mm
- Built-in illuminator
- Rolling wheels are installed on the bottom for easy transportation

Control Unit

|
- 6" color touch screen control panel for operating and setting parameters
- Electric motor with worm gear reducer for raising and lowering the weight
- In the case of an electrical outage, the weight will be lowered and locked in position automatically
- Once the parameter setup on the touch screen, a wireless hand-held remote controller will operate the machine within 10 meters distance for the safest operation

Venting
|
- A venting port is installed in the back chamber which shall be connected to your venting system. Duct included. (exhaust fan is not included)
- Warning: Must keep venting fan and exhaust system running during battery testing to avoid pressure build-up in the case of battery explosion.
- A Centrifugal inline exhaust fan with aluminum flex duct connection is recommended and optional. (Click pic below to read detail)
- The machine should be placed in a fume hood or a well-circulated room

Safety Door

|
- A pressure relief door is on the back of the chamber. In the case of a battery explosion, the door will "pop" to release the pressure inside of the chamber.
- Attention: Do not block the Pressure Relief Door

Free Fall Testing (Optional) |
- Freefall testing based on IEC-62133-8.3.3 is feasible with electric driven testing fixtures (Picture left). The additional cost will apply, please contact us for more details
- This fixture is only for small single cells. For a larger battery pack, please choose MSK-908
