HTVB-50 is a compact high-temperature vibration ball mill with a gas delivery reactor, which can be heated up to 500ºC with a programmable temperature controller with accuracy +/- 1.0 ºC. It is an excellent tool for Mechanochemical activation of catalysts for CO2 methanation

Heatable Reactor
(Milling Chamber)

  • The reactor is made of SS 304 with 55mm ID × 61mm OD × 100 mm Depth
  • Maximum material capacity: 200ml (Including balls and material)
  • The heating ring is on outside the reactor, which can be heated up to 500 ºC
  • Precision and programmable temperature control with +/- 1°C accuracy
  • Gas inlet and outlet (1/8") with valves are built into the reactor 
  • A 1/4" thermocouple feedthrough is installed on the flange (Thermocouple is not included)
  • The reactor is installed on the vibration stage。  Max. The working pressure is 0.3 MPa.  ( You must use a two-stage gas regulator to limit max. pressure from the gas cylinder )
  • Max gas flow rate:  < 5L/minute
  • Flange connection: 8 - M8 x 18mm

  • Standard:  3 bar Max.   @  500ºC Max.
  • Optional:   20 bar Max.  @ 250ºC  Max. at extra cost
  •                   10 bar Max. @  350ºC Max. at the extra cost 
Vibration Stage

  • The vibration stage is driven by a 24V DC motor
  • The vibration speed is adjustable in terms of motor rotational speed 400 - 2000 RPM (6 - 33 Hz)
  • Max. Load: 20Kg 
Milling Balls
  • A set of stainless steel milling balls (6 - 20 mm) is included.

Control Unit
  • The control unit is separated from the reactor.
  • The unit controls both temperature and vibration speed.

  • Main Unit: 600 x 450 x 530mm (W x D x H)

  • The device can be operated inside a glovebox with Ar Gas. 
  • If you plan to operate it in a glovebox, KF40 feedthrough may be needed to separate the control unit and reactor
