2000C Max.High-Vacuum Induction Melting-Casting System - IMCS-2000A

IMCS-2100A is a lab-scale induction melting & casting system which is capable of melting/casting various metal alloys up to 1000 g (Fe as reference) at Max. 2100ºC under high-vacuum (10-6 Torr) or inert gas environment. The quenching function is available upon request.

Vacuum chamber



  • Vacuum chamber made of stainless steel  with water cold jacket
  • Vacuum Chamber dimension: 400 mm Dia. x 400 mm Highlight
  • Built-in Quartz window (120 mm dia) for observation
  • One KF25 and one KF40 vacuum port are built in the back of chamber (Pic. 1)
  • LF160 Port is built in the left of the chamber for connecting to a turbopump
  • Build-in high-speed turbopump, which can achieve 6x10-6 torr vacuum level
  • Built-in crucible tilting mechanism to allow cast the melt into a mold (Pic. 2)
  • Customized casting mold is available upon request at extra cost (Pic.2)
  • Standard Alumina casting mold size: D50x90mm  (customized size available upon request)
  • Built-in secondary charger adding port with a feeding tank, which can add 3 types of chargers into crucible during melting (Pic. 3- 5)

Vacuum and Atmosphere
  • High-speed turbopump ( 700 L/s)  is included and directly connected to the chamber
  • Vacuum level:  5x10-6 torr within 60 minutes 
  • The furnace can fill inert gas up to 0.5 Bar.

  • Programmable Temperature control with overheated protection via standard  thermal couple or optical sensor  up to 2100°C (please choose working temperature range before the order)
    • K type T/C - 1200ºC Max. 
    • B type T/C - 1700ºC Max
    • C type T/C - 1800ºC Max.
    • IR optical temperature sensor: 2000 - 2500 ºC Max.  (optional)

        Application Notes
    • AttentionA pressure regulator must be installed on your input gas tank ( click the picture 1 below to review ) and have the output gas pressure set below 7 PSI at all times.  
    • The flow rate for gases should be limited to < 200 SCCM ( or 200ml/min )
