MSK-SFM-13S is a benchtop high throughput planetary ball mill designed to achieve the most efficient milling and fine grinding quality. 4 grinding stations with 4 cavity SS milling jars allow you to prepare up to 16 different materials (alloys, ceramics, chemical products, polymer composites, metal oxides, minerals, etc) in an efficient way. This is an ideal solution whenever high throughput material grinding/mixing is needed. It also can be used as four tanks (4x 10 ml) planetary mill removing 10 ml small tank.

  • High throughput processing is feasible thanks to the 4-cavity SS jar. Up to 16 different materials can be processed at the same time with 4 jars placed in position. Please click the bottom left image to see the details.
  • Bench-top compact design with 4 Grinding Stations.
  • Large touch screen controller allows easy programming for multi-step speed-up/down milling/grinding, rotate direction, timing control, and cycling
  • Efficient grinding benefits from the high centrifugal force and pulverization energy
  • Suitable for mechanical alloying, mixing, homogenizing, pulverizing
  • Minimum output granularity can be as small as 0.1 um

Note: The output granularity is dependent on the material physical properties such as size, milling media and processing time. Minimum granularity can be as small as 0.1 um according to the customer's feedback.

  • Four sets of 4 cavity SS jars (10ml/cavity) are included, which can mill 16 samples per batch. (Pic 1)
  • Four sets of SS milling ball combo are included.  Please click the pic in below to order spare balls. (Pic. 2)
  • Four jar holders can accommodate the single cavity jars, such as SS jar (Pic 4), vacuum jar. (pic. 5), Alumina Jar (Pic.6), Tungsten jars (Pic. 3)
  • We provide a wide range of jar/ball materials for contamination-free processes, such as Nylon, Alumina, Zirconia, agate...Please contact us for more details.

   Application Notes
    
  • SS304 mixing jar is suitable for grinding various metal materials
  • For milling the oxide material, please choose alumina/Nylon jars and zirconia media. DO NOT USE stainless steel balls in Alumina jars. 
  • Must place 4 jars or 2 in symmetrical with similar weight in the ball mill to keep balance during rotation, If using one jar, you must put another jar with the same weight in a symmetrical position.  Otherwise, unbalance rotation, especially one jar, may damage the machine.
