MSK-SFM-15 is a new generation planetary ball mill with independent speed for disc revolution and jar rotation, which can adjust impact and shear force during milling for various materials to produce the optimized particle size and shape and achieve better mechanical alloying.
SPECIFICATIONS
Features

|
- Independent speed control for main disc revolution (0 - 400 RPM) and milling jar rotation (0 -1600 RPM) to allow the user to explore the best parameter for the wanted particle size and shape.
- Touch screen control panel for programming the speeds, the milling time, and the pause time.
- Four 500 mL stainless steel jars are included for immediate use.
- Other type jars are available as an option.
- Note: Particle size is dependent on impact force and particle shape is dependent on shear force. It is customer's responsibility to find the best parameter for various materials.

Material Size for Input & Output
|
- Input material size:
- < 3 mm Dia. for most materials and ~< 10 mm Dia. for brittle materials
- Output particle:
- Wet Milling < 1um average
- Dry milling < 20um average
- Note: The output granularity is dependent on the material physical properties such as size, milling media and processing time. Minimum granularity can be as small as 0.1 um according to the customer's feedback.

Application Notes
|
- SS304 mixing jar is suitable for grinding various metal materials.
- In order to avoid contamination, please pre-milling the material 2-3 times before normally milling, which can make a coating on the surface of the jar and balls. Please use one jar for one type of material.
- For milling the oxide material, please choose alumina/Nylon jars and zirconia media. DO NOT USE stainless steel balls in Alumina jars.
- Must place 4 jars or 2 in symmetrical with similar weight in the ball mill to keep balance during rotation, If using one jar, you must put another jar with the same weight in a symmetrical position. Otherwise, unbalance rotation, especially one jar, may damage the machine.
- Please consider our SYU-3 Ultrasonic Filtration System for filtering the product
