 MSK-SFM-LN-192 is versatile high energy, high throughput ball mill & mixer designed for efficient milling and mixing. Two milling stations can hold two 50ml SS jars in position. Radial oscillating movements provide sufficient kinetic energy to the milling balls which impact with the wall surface of the jar and pulverize the materials. The included multi-channel 24x2 ml tube adapters enable the simultaneous milling/mixing up to 48 different samples. Cryo-milling is also feasible by pre-treating the 50ml milling jars in the liquid nitrogen.  This compact ball mill can be operated inside glovebox with Ar atmosphere.



  • High energy vibration ball mill/mixer with versatility - wet & dry grinding/mixing; multi-sample high throughput processing; cryogenic & room temperature
  • High throughput processing is feasible with the aid of the 2ml tube holder and 24 slots adaptor. Up to 24*2 different materials can be processed at the same time with 2 sample holders placed in position. Please click the pic 1&2 to see details.
  • Bench-top compact design with 2 Grinding Stations. Two standard 50ml SS jars are included. (pic. 3 & 4)
  • Each Station can hold milling jars with a volume range from 1.5ml to 50ml.
  • Radial oscillation pattern vibration ensures high energy effective and efficient milling and mixing. (pic. 4)
  • Minimum output granularity can be as small as 3 μm
  • This device is able to perform cryo-milling: Before grinding temperature sensitive or elastic materials, user can pre-cool samples by submerging the grinding jar to liquid nitrogen. (pic. 5, 6&7)

  • For milling the oxide material, please choose alumina/Nylon jars and zirconia media. DO NOT USE stainless steel balls in Alumina jars.
