OTF-1200X-R5-BM  is a compact powder nitriding rotary furnace with a ball milling function.  Ammonia ( NH3) gas passes through the two-zone heating 5" processing tube which is rotatable.  YSZ ball is inside the tube and mills the powder into smaller sizes during rotation and nitride, which will result in the particle fully nitrided.  It may be used for preparing rare-earth-free magnetic material up to 1100°C.

Furnace Construction
  •  Double shell casing with two cooling fans
  • High purity Alumina fibrous insulation for max. energy saving
  • Gear DC motor drives quartz tube with variable speed 0 - 5 RPM
  • The split cover enables faster cooling and easy operation
  • Two-zone heating for a longer constant temperature zone

Heating Zone length
  • Two zones: each zone length is 140 mm, and the total heating zone is 280 mm
  • Constant temperature zone: 100 mm within +/-2oC if two zones at the same temperature.

Processing Tube

  • Central 5"  quartz processing tube with 4 mixing blades in the center, pls click the pics below for details:    
  • Tube length is  1100 mm
  • SS310 alloy  tube is available upon request at the extra cost

Rotary Gas Fittings
 
  • One pair of rotary inline fitting ( Magnetic fluid seal)  with flange is included 
  • A 1/4" tube is required to connect the rotary fitting

  • 1100°C for continuously   ( quartz tube )
  • 900°C for SS310 alloy tube
Temperature Control

  • The separated temperature controller in a remote location
  • Two PID digital temperature controllers with 30 segment programmable,  +/- 1°C
  • Each heating zone's temperature  is controlled independently
  • Two Omega K type 3mm OD x 6" L with high-temperature tolerance (220°C) connector
Tube rotating Speed
 0 - 10 RPM variable  with digital control and display
Milling Ball

  • 500g 3 mm dia. YSZ milling ball is included
