VBF-1200X-E8 is a vacuum-sealed furnace with a motor-driven bottom loading sample stage and an electric door for thermal insulation of the heated chamber. The furnace comes with a quartz chamber of 8.5" ID x 13.4"H and a water-cooled flange, which enables heat treatment under a vacuum or controlled atmosphere. A gas blow system is installed at the bottom to cool the heated sample faster with inert gas.

Heating Chamber and Vacuum-Sealed Flange

- The quartz heating chamber is replaceable. ( Click Pic. 2 to order spare )
- Water cooling SS304 Vacuum flange with Or-ring fibrous alumina plate is installed on the electric lifting platform to seal the quartz chamber. (Pic, 3)
- One 16L/min recirculating water chiller is included for cooling the flange (pic. 4)

Vacuum and Gas Flow
|
- One KF25 port is built-in for vacuum pump connection.
- One dual-stage rotary vane pump with KF25 below and one angle valve are included. (Pic。 1)
- One Pirani vacuum gauge (up to 10-4 torr) and a mechanical vacuum gauge is included. (Pic。 2)
- Pfeiffer 33 L/s turbopump is available for high vacuum operation up to 10-5 torr (Pic,3)
- One 5L flowmeter with1/4" gas inlet and outlet is included for atmosphere control (Pic.4)

Cooling Chamber
|
The gas cooling system is built-in for faster cooling of a heated sample
- 4 gas blow tubes ate installed in for corner of the cooling chamber (Pic.1). The gas valve shall be opened before loading the heated sample down
- The sliding door must be closed immediately once the sample stage is down to insulate the radiation from the heating chamber. (Pic. 2)
- The cooling rate and temperature can be monitored by the thermal couple in sample stage

- Quartz tube furnace is designed for using under vacuum and low pressure < 0.2 bars / 3 psi / 0.02 MPa
- Attention: A two-stage pressure regulator must be installed on the gas cylinder to limit the pressure to below 3 PSI for safe operation. Click here to learn the installation of a gas regulator.
- Vacuum pressures in the furnace shall be used below 1000°C under vacuum processing
- The furnace can be used for brazing of two flat samples via top dead weight under vacuum at <1000°C
