The OTF-1200X-VHP4 is designed for making dense compound materials under both vacuum and high pressure, and/or bounding multi-layer wafer together under a pressure up to 5 metric tons. It is integrated with a split vertical tube furnace with a vacuum-sealed 4" quartz tube and 20T electric hydraulic press, as well as one set of 0.5" ID graphite pressing, die. The furnace can be heated up to 1000ºC using a temperature controller with 30 programmable segments. Water-cooled flanges facilitate a vacuum level up to 10E^-5 Torr via the use of an optional turbomolecular pump.

High-Temperature Pressing Die Set
|
- One set graphite supporting rod (One top & one bottom) is built in. ( bottom left picture )
- One set of 0.5" ID graphite die are included for immediately use. ( bottom central picture)
- The dies kit is usually made of high purity graphite with max. working pressure of 50 MPa
- The graphite pressing die gets broken easily and is consumable, please click on the central photo below to order extra sets. We can also provide customized die sets upon customer request at extra cost
- Mica spacers are used to adjust the height of die sets (while providing heat insulation). Please click on the bottom right picture below to order spares.( bottom right photo )
- The ID( inner diameter ) of the die set must be taken into consideration when using the hydraulic press to compress the sample. For example, the graphite dies set with an ID of 0.5" can only withstand a maximum pressure around ~0.6 Metric Ton from the press to maintain its structural integrity.

Application Notes

- Attention: A two-stage pressure regulator must be installed on the gas cylinder to limit the pressure to below 3 PSI for safe operation. Click here to learn the installation of a gas regulator.
