RC-Ni is reactor made of Ni-Base Superalloy, which has excellent creep strength and anti-oxidation. It can reach 1100 °C with a pressure up to 4Mpa under oxygen or inert gas. It is an ideal tool for preparing advanced material by the hydrothermal method, especially heat treat sample under high oxygen pressure. A solenoid valve is installed on the flange allows auto-pressure relief control. Temp. Control and Pressure Real-time Monitoring software are also included. (new feature since 5/12/14

  • Warning:   For your safety,  the high-pressure vessel and furnace must be placed inside an explosive-proof box or case during using under high pressure.  Never face on top flange without protection to avoid the accident.

Pressure Vessel

  • Made of Ni-Based Superalloy, optional at 65&100ml ( click pic 1 to order spare )
  • Air cold flange via aluminum heat radiator
  • Liner inside vessel with various materials is available upon request at extra cost
  • Attention: Processing Tube is consumable part, you can click picture below to order replacement or spare one  It is user resposibility to choose suitable liner to grow different material 
  • A small quartz or Alumina boat should be used to load the sample inside the vessel. Please click the link below to order separately. Never place the sample directly onto the vessel without a crucible. Vessel service-life could be reduced significantly if you do so.
  • You may use gold or nickel foil to wrap the crucible boat to minimize the contamination to the pressure vessel.

Pressure Sensor Precision high-pressure sensor (measurement Range up to 250 bars) installed on the pressure vessel.
Pressure Relief Solenoid Valve
  • A default 15Mpa max. pressure relief solenoid valve is installed. When the pressure reaches the alarm set point (Max.15Mpa), the pressure inside the vessel will be released via the solenoid valve installed on the flange. For Max.pressure >15 Mpa, please shut off the manual needle valve nearby the solenoid valve.)

PC Control (optional)
  • MTS-02 control software is available for controlling and displaying temperature and pressure by PC 
  • PC control module is compatible with Labview software.
  • Pressure & Temp. Real Time Monitoring (This new feature is available since 5/12/14):   
  • SS316 needle valve with 1/4 pipe connector & Pressure gauge included
  • Two Copper Gasket 48mm O.D are included, which is consumables

  • The optional torque wrench is available here  to avoid overtightening the flange bolts.Please email us to learn the suitable tightening torque for the Hydrothermal Reactor.
Operation Instructions

Warranty One year limited warranty. Consumable parts such as copper gaskets, pressure vessels (if over-pressurized, over-heated or chemical interactions), and heating elements (if over heated) are not covered by the warranty.  
Application Notes
  • Attention: A two-stage pressure regulator must be installed on the gas cylinder to limit the pressure to below 3 PSI for safe operation. Click here to learn the installation of a gas regulator.
  • Do not over tightening the flange screws as this may cause permanent damages to the flange or screws. Please refer to the instructions about proper torque for installing CF flange bolts.We recommend you use a torque wrench to tighten the screws with the flange.
