VGB-4H is a vacuumable glove box with moisture purification system which provides a protective gas environment with humidity level < 2 ppm.  It is an ideal working station for Li-ion battery fabrication processes, such as electrolyte injection & settlement and final sealing of battery casing. It is also suitable for material and chemical researchers to process air sensitive materials and solutions.

  • Working Voltage: 220 VAC, single phase, 50/60 Hz.

Glove Box Chamber
  • Glove Box: EQ-VGB-4A
  • Dimension: 1120 × 740 × 900 mm (L × W × H).
  • Material: 304 stainless steel (3 mm thickness).
  • Ambient temperature: 15 ~ 25 °C (60 ~ 75 F).
  • Pressure limit: 0.01 ~ 15 psi (0.5 ~ 810 Torr).
  • Access for a pair of Butadyl@ gloves (8’’ long); the diameter of the glove port is 190 mm.
  • The glove ports are covered by clamps and sealing flanges.
  • Built-in outlet (maximum power: 1500 W).
  • Leaking speed: 3 Torr/hour.
Airlock Chamber
    • Dimension: 400 (OD) × 360 (ID) × 435 mm (L).
    • Vacuum limit: > 0.001 psi (0.05 Torr).
    Transparent Front Window
    • Dimension: 1040 × 405 mm (L × W).
    Gauge & Valves
    Airlock chamber:
    • One vacuum gauge on the top of airlock chamber.
    • One 1/2” barbed needle valve and one KF-25 vacuum port built in the air lock chamber.
    Glove box chamber:
    • Two KF-25 ports on the top of the rear panel.
    • Three KF-40 ports on the bottom of the rear panel. One of KF-40 has been connected to the pressure release valve.
    • One KF-40 port on the bottom of the left panel.
    • One KF-40 port on the top of the right panel.
    Purification System
    • Remove moisture  <2 ppm, which is Dew Point < -71.7°C  (<11 ppm H2O is usually needed for Li-Ion battery assembly)  --  click to see Conversion of moisture/humidity
    • Built-in Precision Humidity Analyzer with KF25 Flange (0-999 ppm) (accuracy  +/-0.1 ppm).
    • Large capacity moisture absorber: 1.5 kg.
    • Automatic pressure control system is built in to keep the pressure at a constant level.
    • Regenerable (nitrogen gas required).
    Control Panel
    • 6’’ color PLC touch panel.
    • Support Chinese and English.
    • Record total cycle time, regeneration time and single cycle time.
    Vacuum pump
    • Heavy duty vacuum pump with filter is included for initial pump down and purging if needed.
    • Stainless steel vacuum bellow and valve are included.
    Gas Requirement
    • Working gas:air, nitrogen, argon.          
    • Regeneration Gas: nitrogen.
    • Foot switch (manually control the pump on/off).

    Application Notes
    • Always check the joints, gloves, sealing elements, and pipelines for air-tightness before and during the operation
    • Corrosive gasses are prohibited as they will damage the sensors
    • The inlet and outlet of the Air-lock Chamber must not be opened at the same time to prevent contamination by the external gas
    • By capping the glove ports with the vacuum flange, the glove box can be evacuated by a mechanical pump upto 0.5 torrs before filling inert gas, (moisture can be below 180 ppm and oxygen below 200 ppm). Then you can save at least 1-2 tank of inert gas from purging of each operation
